Finally, the first replica! 17 years ago, these shoes were on my mind!

The return of the Nike Kobe 8 has undoubtedly become a big event in this year’s shoe world, with the Kobe 8 Protro appearing to be so glamorous because of the Kobe 8’s sentiment and the milestone significance of the series’ re-launch……. These labels have made the Kobe 8 Protro appear so glamorous.

Because of this, another pair of Nike LeBron 4, which is also being reproduced for the first time after the first year, is completely overshadowed by the Kobe 8 Protro.

In terms of weight, retro sentiment, and scarcity, there is no aspect of it that loses to the Kobe 8 Protro, and it’s not too much of a stretch to call it the Kobe 8’s big brother.

Speaking of the story of this pair of sneakers, I’m afraid that the first memory to pull back to the distant 17 years ago.

In 2006, when the 22-year-old James was still green “little emperor”, and the Cavaliers signed the second contract of his career in the off-season, the real meaning of farewell to the rookie status.

This change in role also made Nike start to think about how to create his fourth generation of boots to suit James, who was entering a new phase of his career.

Then Ken Link, then designer of the Nike LeBron series, suggested that the focus should be on increasing the strength of the upper to suit James’ increasingly ‘violent’ style of play.

Thinking about it, Ken decided that there was no material better suited to James than Foamposite, and combining that with its one-piece molding characteristics, he began to pick up his paintbrush and make sketch after sketch.

The result was the Nike LeBron 4, Nike’s most cutting-edge technology at the time.

With the Foamposite upper, the LeBron 4 completely reverses the retro look of its three predecessors, presenting itself to players as if it were a sci-fi tank.

In addition to the futuristic look, another eye-catching design that has to be mentioned is the “embedded midsole” that is hidden inside the shoe.

As you can see from the teardown, the thick foam material wraps around a full palm Zoom air cushion, giving the shoe a top-notch feel even today.

Here, we have to go back to the beginning, the LeBron 4 is six years ahead of the Kobe 8 in the “embedded midsole” play, the proper big brother.

Of course, the LeBron 4 isn’t perfect either, with a weight of over 600 grams, which is pretty outrageous, and for the average person it’s no different than having sandbags strapped to your feet.

Another point of complaint is that the “full palm carbon plate” inside the midsole is actually just a few pieces of TPU decorated with a fiber texture.

But even so, that doesn’t detract from its place in the hearts of fans, and like James, who said goodbye to his rookie status, this shoe officially opens a new era for the Nike LeBron line.

In the 2006-07 season, James led his team to 50 wins and 32 losses in the new boots, matching the best record of his career in four years.

By the end of the regular season, James was also crowned the youngest man ever to score 8,000 points, at the age of 22 years and 74 days.

Coming into the playoffs, LeBron 4 accompanied James in the first round to cut down the Wizards led by “The General” Arians.

It’s just a shame that James switched to the “First Soldier” Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier 1 from the next round, and the LeBron 4’s journey came to an end.

Thus, 17 years have passed slowly, and James has changed from a “little emperor” to an “old James” in his forties, and the memories of LeBron 4 have gradually been buried by time.

The only time the LeBron 4 appeared was during the Nike LeBron 17 era, when a series of LeBron 4-inspired colorways were released.

Then came this year, when the shoe appeared on Canadian outlet shelves unannounced, unannounced, unannounced, and even at a discounted price, a stark contrast to the Kobe 8 Protro.

On the scarcity, this pair of replica graffiti color was properly “ultra-limited sky price shoes”.

On technology, this pair of replica 100% restore the technology configuration of the first year, realize 0 reduction, sincerity pull full.

On the sentiment, 17 years of hard waiting finally ushered in the return, limited edition color is a direct dream.

So in my humble opinion, the Nike LeBron 4, which is back this year, deserves to be treated better.

The good news is that starting with this graffiti colorway, word on the street is that a bunch of other colorways such as Black Knight and Fruit McMuffin may be returning next.

So finally why not take this opportunity to look back at those classic meta styles from back in the day and see which ones you have owned? And which ones are you eager to replicate and return to?
