Have you noticed that in recent years, the linkage between the trend circle and cars has become more and more frequent?

Trend culture is no longer confined to its original dimension, and has long since succeeded in breaking down the sub-dimensional wall with automobiles, as evidenced by the in-depth cooperation between major automobile companies and trend units.

There have been more than enough collaborations between trend brands and automotive brands, including Fragment Design x Maserati, KITH x BMW Vintage M3, Aimé Leon Dore x Porsche (*a vintage 911 is permanently displayed in the New York store), and other classic collaborations, which have expanded their respective cultural boundaries through the customary forms of co-branding in the trend world. The collaboration has expanded the boundaries of their respective cultures through the usual forms of co-branding in the trend circle.

Even “car items” such as incense sticks and foot mats are common in street fashion brands such as Stussy and Supreme, making it a true family affair!

In addition to the co-branded car models, the car culture is equally rich in the trend and fashion field. Through the Paris family, Greg Ross and other brands many times out of the circle of racing suits, biker jackets, biker gloves, and so on, as well as a variety of racing, biker elements of the Vintage Tee have become the star Icon and the tide of the people to compete for the object.

Recently, the automobile culture and the trend circle once again presented a new linkage of creative expression, and this time the driving force behind is the “trend enlightenment” of many domestic players FOSS! Inspired by the automobile culture of “running mountains”, the brand extends the new FMD series through its own brand heritage, and once again will be the trend of x automobile vintage, tuning trend to play with a new pattern.

A new exploration of automobiles and trendy culture

For car enthusiasts, hill climbing is a fascinating experience with unknown road conditions, scenery along the way, and various uncertainties and challenges.

FOSS has teamed up with a team of Korean designers to bring a new branch series, FMD (FOSS MOTOR DEPARTMENT), with the theme of “Hill Climbing”, which calls on players to be aware of the present and pay attention to the scenery on the way while catching up with the trend.

In terms of design, FMD’s first new product combines elements of tuned cars and retro models, through American retro style fonts and graphics, and incorporates elements such as the “Race” racing flag checkerboard, to explore the trend of multiple styles of automotive culture.

In this new product, Mr. Giraffe, a fun giraffe, is used as a “driver” on a mountain circuit to show you a journey of freedom. Mr. Giraffe is a driver on a tour of the mountain circuit, showing you a journey of freedom, a glimpse of the culture of tuning and vintage cars, and a perfect illustration of the joy of driving.

At the same time, tuning cars and vintage cars for many fans have a deep emotional link, each run mountain road trip brings a new experience, as well as the car’s modification and upgrading can become a player’s mouth talk about the topic. And this and buy rare, antique trend single to the trend of players to bring the excitement of the feeling is the same flavor.

This is one of the reasons that led to the birth of FMD, which accurately captures the ingenious interface between cars and trend culture, and uses it as inspiration to disperse an entire virtual story line, showing trend players a different perspective on car culture.

“Vinatge” with a full flavor of “car”.

FMD’s fun interpretation of vintage Americana

FMD interprets the theme of “Mountain Running” through different pattern designs and car elements. The first Drop 1 is a collection of short-sleeved T-shirts, shirts, and pants for spring and summer wear.

Mr. Giraffe”, the main character of this season, as the image icon of FMD’s special design, appears as an anthropomorphic driver in the American comic style pattern.

FMD starts from the three different scenes of Mr. Giraffe’s trip to the mountains, and through three different themed prints, respectively interprets the culture of tuning, vintage cars, and the passion and freedom that collide during the driving process. Whether it is the car, tuning parts, speed logo and other design details, all of them highlight the core proposition of automobile and American vintage.

Many fans on the road should be intrigued by the cool sports cars that flash by out the window, and that’s vividly shown in this FMD series.

The Phantom of Red whizzing by in the next lane caught Mr. Giraffe’s attention and couldn’t help but stick his neck out of his car in a dramatic way, very much in the vein of American jokes as well as Vintage Funny Tee.

Following on from the last set of scenes, the implementation of the mountain running plan naturally starts with the modification of the car, and the T-shirt print is based on the theme of “Giraffe Garage”, which shows the modification equipment of the mechanic, Mr. Giraffe, with the license plate, steering wheel, wheel hub, engine and other modifications all hand-drawn in comic book form as a print presentation.

The final scene should naturally be locked in the track of Running Mountain, Mr. Giraffe driving an open-topped retro car on the road, the roar of the engine and a lot of exhaust fumes, as well as a variety of spoof slogans and warning signs on the roadside, but also the design of the fun to play with just right, interpretation of the relaxed American atmosphere.

Speaking of which, the American retro style and Vintage should be obvious to all of you with the recent craze.

The FMD collection will feature two more short-sleeve tees with this proposition, with an overall minimalist look that conveys the automotive theme through classic Americana prints from the last century.

The front of the chest features the exclusive FMD logo, with the slightly faded red font forming a strong visual contrast with the plain white tee, and the Check Flag element in the font symbolizes the theme of the race track.

On the back are two exquisite hand-drawn patterns, “Piston V Gesture” and “Vintage Helmet”, which perfectly hit the core elements of vintage motorcycles.

The piston of the V-engine is extracted as a design element, reorganized and designed as a victorious V gesture, and the logos of the four engines V6 / V8 / V10 / V12 are added underneath, which is a perfect combination of hardcore and hand-drawn fun elements.

Well, it’s definitely a blessing for heavy car enthusiasts~!

The other pattern is based on a vintage half-helmet design, together with a race flag element, combining the passionate feeling of a racing car full of blood.

The color fading treatment brings a strong vintage texture, while echoing the American vintage elements in the design language, giving the T-shirt a strong street attribute.

In addition, the FMD Logo has been customized into two basic T-shirts, with a versatile black and white color scheme, giving excellent choices to top men and women who prefer a minimalist style. The enlarged FMD Logo and the simple typography with retro design elements bring a casual and cozy wearing atmosphere, triggering resonance among different groups of car and trend lovers.

If you think short sleeves are too basic, FMD Drop1 also includes a white short-sleeved shirt that is more suitable for styling.

Not only is the textured fabric chosen to satisfy your desire for texture, but the silhouette of the shirt also optimizes the proportion of the body and enhances the sense of layering.

While the chest pocket and back shoulder are embellished with the FMD series Logo, the checkerboard pattern on the back combined with the racing blue color tone can also add a little bit of vintage racing sense of caution while having a super recognizable premise.

In addition to a wide range of spring/summer clothing items, FMD Drop1 also features a “road map” scarf inspired by the original creation, which is a small egg for the preview of the subsequent items. With more pattern elements, we can’t help but anticipate what surprises the FMD collection will bring.
